Are one of the the many like me who are  glued to their TV screens watching sports and movies in High definition, but are caught up with all the hype surrounding 3DTV. Not to worry as you are not alone and the solution in the form of 3D Converter Box is here. So no need to invest in a new 3DTV to enjoy 3D.

This 3D converter is capable of converting your normal(2D) programs into full 3D using some sophisticated firmware and blue/amber glasses. One end of the box is to be connected to your satellite receiver or cable box and the other end to the HDMI port of your TV. Select the type and strength of the 3D effect you want and start enjoying your favorite programs in 3D.

The setting up and usage is simple though the quality of 3D ain’t the best, perhaps with time the occasional blur and distortion while viewing programs from the glasses should be improved/ sorted out. All in all I feel at $69.00  its an way more economical option as compared to buying a new 3DTV.

3D is quite a rage now; Not just evolution of 3D viewing, Sony has developed 1080p 3D recording Binoculars which can shoot videos in 3D. Even we recently wrote about 3D Printers which could print what we saw in real world.

In case of Televisions, there isn’t any revolutionary display able to convert 2D content into 3D on it’s own like in case of Mobile phones we have Optimus 3D. So, such device although in initial stage have great scope for development or may in near future, we will see some TV screen making it possible to convert 2D to 3D.

The idea is new, promising and has the potential to lure a lot of customers into buying. The packaging is good with 2 sets of glasses, a remote control and the box. It is compatible with Blu ray players, satellite, cable, PC’s and laptops.
