Use Your iPhone as a Walkie Talkie with Tomko Transceiver for iPhone
Remember the days when talking to a friend through the walkie talkie was cool. Transceiver for iPhone has reinvented the same experience for us and that too with the gadget you/we love the most : iPhone. In yesteryear, we had very less or no access to mobiles and emails and hence walkie talkie’s were a hit.
The trend these days has moved onto chat and many fear that people may avoid vocal communication in the future; so Transceiver for iPhone may prove to get the excitement back.
As the name suggests Transceiver for iPhone can be used as a transceiver for talking. It also doubles as a speaker for music hence it may also prove to be a solution for all the people not happy with the iPhone’s build in speakers. The device can be clipped to your belt, hence the handling is easy.
Another use if accompanied with iPhone 4S, you can give command to Siri and get replies then and there holding it in hand.
Just like we have button(s) on walkie talkie’s on the left hand side to talk, we have buttons for pause, play, skip and to adjust the volume to one’s liking. The device takes energy from 2 AAA batteries that keep it alive for about 15 hours. The device has been reasonably priced at $20, the only downside is that the conversations may not be private.
My Take : The device has been priced very well and because it can also be doubled as a speaker for music, its a smart buy; of course you will also have to influence one of your friends to buy one to enjoy the full walkie talkie experience. Also launching the device for iPhone would boost sales as people using iPhone’s love to explore new apps and gadgets for the device.
