ZTE is ready for the launch of its Tegra 3 Tablet. It’s name is ZTE T98 equipped with Nvidia Kal-El processor, 1GB memory and 16GB storage. Here are the first pictures.

Future platform Nvidia Tegra 3 is expected to be released by December, but the leading manufacturers are already working on future tablets. But ZTE seem ready. On the occasion of the China International Exhibition Center, the first Chinese company has shown a tablet with Nvidia Tegra 3, code-named Kal-El. ZTE T98 has, in fact, a quad core processor (or penta-core ) that promises significant improvements in performance (graphics and computing) and consumption.

ZTE T98 Nvidia Tegra 3 Tablet Specs

The new CPU has a frequency of 1.5GHz, and accompanied by 1GB of RAM and 16GB of data space. The equipment is completed, also by two cameras (2 megapixel and 5 megapixel front-rear), and a battery of 4000 mAh. Currently we don’t have more technical information, but we can anticipate that the thickness of ZTE T98 is equal to 11.5 mm, oddly against the current fashion of the moment.

Hopefully the 4,000mAh battery is able to hold the fort in the long run without having you run to the nearest power outlet all the time.

ZTE T98 Tegra 3 Tablet Price and Availability

The design is basic, simple and not very nice, but the presence of Nvidia Tegra platform 3 of a tablet device makes this most interesting time. We have no details on price and availability of the product, but we are confident that we will discuss in the coming weeks.

The spec sheet, snapped at CES in Beijing, shows off 3G GSM network capabilities, so we can hope for a European/UK release. We’re reaching out to ZTE spokespople for more information on this; stay tuned for updates.
